⭐ FEATURED HORSE: Theseguysgotgame (Jerry) ⭐
2026 TB Makeover Eligible
Jockey Club Name: Theseguysgotgame (Jerry)
2020 Bay Gelding - 15.3 H
Adoption Fee: $2000
Race record and pedigree: www.equibase.com/profiles/Results.cfm?type=Horse&refno=10795439®istry=T
Video: https://youtu.be/yZe4-oM12tI
Jerry is well-bred and just a lovely boy to be around, in addition to being really eye-catching. Jerry was retired in partnership with Turning for Home, which arranged for the surgical removal of a knee chip in February 2025. Jerry has been a joy to ride and has lovely manners in the barn. He is level-headed and more whoa than go, but still has a nice motor. He will only get better with regular work and we could see him being a great partner for an ammy or a junior.
Jerry had his first ride with NBT in July 2025, and we have been bringing him along slowly to keep him eligible for the 2026 Makeover. He has remained sound and a kind a willing partner since rehabbing from his surgery.
Theseguysgotgame (Jerry) came to us as part of our ongoing partnership with Turning For Home (TFH).

Glacier benefits from a patient and understanding groundwork approach. He has floaty, forward movement under saddle on the lunge line and while riding. He thrives in a consistent routine and is eager for a committed owner to give him the attention he craves.
Glacier has no vices, making him a reliable and delightful companion in any direction. He’s best suited for an experienced rider/handler who can offer him consistency so he can shine in his next career! He is currently barefoot, but has worn front shoes. Glacier had a successful racing career, and his owners invested in rehabbing an injury he sustained during racing. This adorable and level headed gelding was retired from racing due to being too slow. He is super cute with a sweet face and a big heart. Jak has proven to be a super-star in our retraining program. He is a balanced mover and is comfortable to ride. He is easy to ride in any situation and we have been training in the riding arena, the jump field, the dressage arena, out on the trails, and even at his first off property show. Nothing seems to faze this boy! We could see him excelling in multiple disciplines, but would be a great eventer/jumper for sure. Wears front shoes and cribs (controlled with a collar).

Bourbon Currency
Jockey Club Name: Bourbon Currency
2015 Bay Gelding - 16 H
Adoption Fee: $2500
Race record and pedigree: https://www.equibase.com/profiles/Results.cfm?type=Horse&refno=9850379®istry=T&rbt=TB
Bourbon was retired and donated to us by his racing owner/trainer due to a tendon injury after a long and successful racing career. He came to us in excellent condition and has since healed from the tendon injury. He has an osselot on his front ankle, and we have recent radiographs.
This big, beautiful gelding, Bourbon, has an overall kind and calm demeanor. His last race was in 10/2024. Bourbon has been started under saddle, and we are continuously impressed with how easy-going he is; his canter is so comfortable, you could sit there all day long!
Since this boy had a long racing career, we gave him the time he needed to settle into a routine, and is ready for his second career.

Pasture Partner Program Horses
Johnny Ritt
Jockey Club Name: Johnny Ritt
16.1 H 2017 Bay Gelding
Adoption Fee: $1 (minimum) donation
Every so often, a truly remarkable rehabilitation case comes our way. Meet Johnny Ritt, a talented racehorse who led a successful racing career, earning nearly $500,000 and just under 50 starts; he's as close to a war horse as possible! But his final race ended in heartbreak after a devastating accident left him with a severely wrenched back. Turning for Home supported Johnny as he transitioned him over to the Mid-Atlantic Equine Medical Center receive top-notch care at, and then spent six months at New Beginnings Thoroughbreds for further rehabilitation under the close watch of our vet. But through it all: the vet visits, the stall rest, the slow healing, Johnny has remained one of the kindest, most gentle souls to ever grace our barn.
He’s made incredible such incredible progress, but what we’ve learned most is this: Johnny thrives when life is calm, quiet, and full of kindness. While we once imagined him stepping into a therapy role, it’s clear that what he really deserves is a loving retirement, as a human companion pasture partner. He may still be a fit for the right Equine-Assisted Services program depending on the need, but above all, Johnny is ready to settle into a safe, forever home where he can simply be.
If you have space in your pasture (and your heart) for a horse with a remarkable story and gentle spirit, Johnny may be your perfect match. If you're interested in being a part of Johnny's journey and helping him reach his full potential, please reach out. Together, we can make a difference in this special horse's life!
We're so appreciative of everyone who's been apart of Johnny's village including (but not limited to), Turning for Home (TFH), Mid-Atlantic Equine Medical Center, Dr. Ginn, and so many Parx horsemen and supporters throughout his journey.
