April 4, 2016: NBT was awarded a grant from After the Finish Line to cover the spring shots and coggins testing for our two adoptable horses, Light Weight and Cosmo Storm! After the Finish Line provides critical support to organizations across the United States, and is a nationally recognized 501(C)(3) funding non-profit for Thoroughbred racehorses that are transitioned off the racetrack into a second career. The funds from the grant will be used to support horses entering the training and adoption program! Thank you New Jersey Horse Council for this amazing contribution and for the opportunity to help horses in our state.

We are grateful to the Equus Foundation for awarding New Beginnings Thoroughbreds with a grant to care for the horses in our retraining and adoption program. The Equus Foundation has also afforded us other fundraising opportunities through their Messenger program and we are so proud to be able to participate!
A huge thank you to After the Finish Line for providing funding in April 2016 for spring shots and the annual coggins test for our New Beginnings Thoroughbreds horses, Lilly and Cosmo. After the Finish Line is an amazing organization, and is a Nationally recognized 501(C)(3) funding non-profit for Thoroughbred racehorses that are transitioned off the racetrack into a second careers.
We are so thankful for Dr. Patty Hogan of Hogan Equine, http://hoganequine.com/, in Cream Ridge, NJ who provided a full examinion and x-ray set for Cosmo Storm. Dr. Hogan will make the x-rays available to an approved potential adopter.

April 2015 was an amazing month with the support of the Above and Beyond 4H Club. The 4H members spent the month learning about off track thoroughbreds and helped to spread the word about New Beginnings Thoroughbreds and the ASPCA Help a Horse Day! Thank you Above and Beyond!!!!
